    Originally produced for The University of Georgia's 2020 Spotlight on the Arts Festival, "Reading Gertrude Stein For Pleasure: Listening for Laughter in 'If I Told Him: A Completed Portrait of Picasso'" was chosen as one of 10 finalists in the 4' 33" competition to critically examine a piece of art in under 4' 33". This argument is taken from a longer paper I gave at the American Literature Association 2019 annual conference, and is in the midst of being converted into a full-length article.
